Scale Without Compromise
Flow’s architecture is designed to scale with your app. With native execution parallelism, resilient security, and horizontally scalable data availability, Flow gives you performance with the simplicity of a layer 1 blockchain.
No Layer 2, No Fragmentation
Flow separates consensus from execution and runs multiple execution engines in parallel. This lets the network scale without relying on rollups, sidechains, or fragmentation. Instead of forcing apps to bridge or fragment liquidity, Flow keeps everything in one shared state. This delivers scalability without breaking the user experience or composability.

MEV Resistance by Design
Unlike other blockchains where validators can manipulate transaction ordering to extract value (MEV), Flow splits the job across different node roles. Some nodes propose blocks, others build the transactions inside them. There is no gas auction or tipping to skip the line, only a flat fee based on compute cost. This structure prevents centralized control, keeps execution fair, and ensures no one gets unfair advantage over apps or users.

Horizontally Scalable Throughput
In Flow, the mempool for incoming transactions is distributed across independent clusters of specialized nodes called Collectors. These clusters ingest data in parallel, allowing throughput to grow linearly as more are added without putting pressure on consensus. This removes a key bottleneck seen in monolithic chains and is ideal for high-volume apps like games, DeFi, and AI agents.

Built by App Builders
for App Builders
Flow is the developer platform purpose-built for production. It combines the speed and safety of a modern execution layer, the flexibility of both Solidity and Cadence, and native onchain features like randomness, automation, and identity. Whether you’re migrating an EVM app or building something entirely new, Flow helps you go from idea to launch with less duct tape and more power.
A Safer Language for Smart Contracts
Cadence was created by the team behind CryptoKitties, the first viral NFT application that processed tens of millions in onchain transactions. They designed Cadence to carry forward the lessons of building at scale: a resource-oriented language that is secure by default, composable by design, and expressive enough to capture advanced onchain logic with fewer risks and more clarity, all while protecting digital assets at the language level.

EVM Equivalent
Flow runs a native EVM equivalent environment, meaning you can deploy Solidity contracts, use MetaMask, Hardhat, and your existing infra without rewrites. Whether you're migrating an app or experimenting with a new idea, Flow supports your favorite tools out of the box with full EVM equivalence.

Built-In Onchain Features
Flow integrates core developer features at the protocol level—removing the need for external platforms, brittle integrations, and unnecessary risk. With native support for randomness (VRF), account abstraction, and protocol-agnostic composability, Flow keeps your stack lean and your app powerful.
