USDF to PYUSD0 Migration Guide

What's Happening?

Flow is upgrading its primary USD stablecoin from USDF to PYUSD0. Both are backed 1:1 by PayPal USD (PYUSD), but PYUSD0 uses LayerZero's OFT standard for better cross-chain functionality.

Your USDF is safe and can be converted 1:1 to PYUSD0.

How to Migrate Your USDF

Option 1: Swap Aggregator (Recommended)

  1. Go to swap.flow.com
  2. Connect your wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Flow Wallet, etc.)
  3. Enter the amount of USDF to convert
  4. Approve the transaction
  5. Confirm the swap
  6. Receive PYUSD0 in your wallet

Fee: Gas only, no conversion fee (1:1 stableswap)

Option 2: Migration Pool

Swap directly in the USDF/PYUSD0 stableswap pool:

Fee: Gas only, 1:1 swap

Option 3: Bridge via Stargate

For larger amounts or if you prefer cross-chain routing:

  1. Bridge USDF on Flow → PYUSD on Ethereum: Stargate (Flow → ETH)
  2. Bridge PYUSD on Ethereum → PYUSD0 on Flow: Stargate (ETH → Flow)

Fee: Gas fees on both chains, zero slippage

FAQ

Q: Why is Flow switching to PYUSD0?
A: PYUSD0 uses LayerZero's OFT standard, which enables native cross-chain transfers without traditional lock/unlock bridges. This means faster transfers, lower fees, and access to more chains via Stargate. USDF was limited to Ethereum and Solana bridge paths, while PYUSD0 works across the entire Stargate network.

Q: Is there a deadline to migrate?
A: No hard deadline, but USDF liquidity and incentives will decrease over time. Migrate early for the best experience.

Q: Will I lose money in the swap?
A: No. USDF and PYUSD0 are both backed 1:1 by PayPal USD. The migration portal swaps at 1:1 with no fee beyond gas.

Q: What if I do nothing?
A: Your USDF remains in your wallet but will become harder to use as liquidity moves to PYUSD0.

Q: Can I still bridge USDF after migration?
A: USDF bridging will be deprecated. Use PYUSD0 for cross-chain transfers via Stargate.

Q: What are the contract addresses for PYUSD0 and USDF?
A: On Flow EVM Mainnet:

  • PYUSD0: 0x99af3eea856556646c98c8b9b2548fe815240750
  • USDF (deprecated): 0x2aaBea2058b5aC2D339b163C6Ab6f2b6d53aabED

You can find all stablecoin contract addresses here

Q: Is PYUSD0 available on testnet?
A: There is no official PYUSD0 testnet deployment. PYUSD0 requires real PYUSD to be locked by LayerZero, which isn't practical for testnet. For local testing, developers can deploy the Paxos PYUSD contract directly to get a functionally equivalent token.
