The Flow World Tour showcases why Flow is the ideal platform for building the next generation of Web3 consumer apps, particularly in DeFi and beyond. Kicking off at ETHGlobal Singapore, the World Tour has already demonstrated the power and potential of Flow.
ETHGlobal Singapore Highlights
- Over 25% of ETHGlobal participants hacked on Flow
- 50+ new apps were created on Flow
- Hundreds of new builders joined the Flow ecosystem
With so many entries it was difficult to select winners, however, a few projects stood out, with exciting entries that stood out to judges:
Most Killer App Potential
Outside of the focus on DeFi, the winner and runners-up for the Flow category, Most Killer App Potential, are:
MayBee — 1st place
MayBee is a decentralized prediction market built as a Telegram Mini App. Users can place wagers on trending topics using Flow tokens, and engage with the app through a Telegram bot or directly. Driven by trending topics and user engagement while integrating Flow with Telegram, MayBee combines the ease of a popular messaging platform with Web3, making it more accessible and fun for all users.
Hanseek — 2nd place
Hanseek is a blockchain-based platform for video reviews where only authenticated users can post. Hanseek onboards users with Dynamic, ensures proof-of-humanity with World ID, and stores reviews from verified users on Flow, for a transparent, tamper-proof, permanent record.
Rebirth of Humanity — 3rd place
Rebirth of Humanity is a text-based adventure game with AI agents that allow players to determine the storyline's outcome through decision-making. Phala TEE contracts power AI-driven components, while Flow hosts game logic, such as asset ownership and a player’s progress. A dynamic XP and prize-based rewards system allows players to store rewards which may be redeemed for in-game advantages or assets as they play.
Best DeFi Apps on Flow
With so many high-quality submissions, the spot for the best DeFi app on Flow was a split decision between two applicants.
Pump.Flow is built to serve as a meme token launchpad on Flow, that allows anyone to seamlessly launch a meme token without needing to write any code. Users may interact directly with the application or via a Telegram mini app, to drive accessibility and reduce friction for onboarding newcomers to Web3 token trading. Other platform features, such as a bonding curve and dynamic pricing ensure fairness for traders.
BetonBuild is a charitable betting platform that displays three hackathon projects through a slot machine-style game and allows players to wager on which of those projects they think will succeed as a finalist. After finalists are selected half of the prize pool is divided among players that wagered correctly while the other half goes to charities. The project — whose front end was originally developed with the React framework, with a Mongo DB backend — is deployed across several ecosystems, including Flow, Linea, and Morph.
