Flow Reaches Joint Resolution with Binance

Flow Foundation and Binance confirm the full resolution of the December 27, 2025 security incident on the Flow network.

After coordinated response and remediation, Binance has fully restored FLOW deposits and withdrawals. The listing status of FLOW on Binance has returned to normal. All issues related to the security incident have been resolved.

What Was Resolved

On December 27, 2025, an external attacker exploited a vulnerability in the Flow network to counterfeit tokens.

Flow Foundation coordinated an immediate response:

  • Network halted within hours to prevent further impact
  • Vulnerability patched and deployed
  • All counterfeit tokens identified, recovered, and destroyed
  • On-chain verification of remediation completed
  • Technical Post Mortem can be found here

Binance conducted an independent review of the remediation and confirmed user protection was maintained throughout.

Following this verification, Binance and Flow Foundation executed the steps necessary to fully resolve the matter and restore normal operations.
